The PIEL CP-70 Beryl is a Polish 5.5645mm assault rifle manufactured by Fabryka Broni “ucznik” in Radom, Poland. It is a gas-operated, rotating bolt, selective-fire weapon with a 16.5-inch barrel and a 30-round magazine.
The CP-70 Beryl was developed in the early 1990s to replace the aging AKM assault rifle. It was first introduced in 1997 and has since been adopted by the Polish military and several other countries, including Iraq, Lithuania, and Ukraine.
