An Inside Look: The Cockpit of the Advanced AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-Kuo

The AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-Kuo Cockpit is the central control center within the AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-Kuo, a multirole fighter jet developed by Taiwan’s Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC). It incorporates advanced avionics, sensors, and displays, enabling the pilot to effectively control the aircraft and its systems.

The cockpit features a wide-angle head-up display (HUD), providing the pilot with critical flight and targeting data without having to divert their attention from the outside environment. Multi-function displays (MFDs) present a comprehensive view of the aircraft’s status, navigation, and weapons systems. The cockpit also includes a HOTAS (Hands-On-Throttle-And-Stick) system, allowing the pilot to control the aircraft and its systems without having to take their hands off the controls.

All About AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-Kuo Specs


AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-Kuo is a multirole fighter jet developed by the Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) of Taiwan. It is the first fighter jet to be designed and built in Taiwan, and it is considered to be one of the most advanced fighter jets in the world.

The AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-Kuo has a top speed of Mach 1.9 and a combat radius of 600 kilometers. It is armed with a variety of air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons, including the AIM-9 Sidewinder and the AGM-65 Maverick. The AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-Kuo has been in service with the Republic of China Air Force (ROCAF) since 1997, and it has played a key role in the defense of Taiwan.
