The Boeing 737 MAX 8 is a narrow-body, single-aisle jet airliner developed by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is a stretched version of the Boeing 737 MAX 7, and is the second-largest variant of the 737 MAX family. The MAX 8 has a maximum capacity of 210 passengers, and a range of 3,550 nautical miles (6,570 km). It is powered by two CFM International LEAP-1B engines.
The 737 MAX 8 was developed in response to the Airbus A320neo family. It features a number of improvements over the previous 737NG series, including new engines, a redesigned wing, and a new flight deck. The MAX 8 is also more fuel-efficient than the 737NG, and has a lower operating cost.
