The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is a wide-body, twin-engine jet airliner manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is the second variant of the 787 family, after the 787-8. The 787-9 is stretched by 6.1 meters (20 ft) compared to the 787-8, and can accommodate up to 290 passengers in a typical two-class configuration. The aircraft is powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines, and has a range of up to 14,140 kilometers (7,600 nautical miles).
The 787-9 Dreamliner offers several advantages over its predecessor, the 767-300ER. These advantages include improved fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and a quieter cabin. The aircraft also features a number of advanced technologies, such as a composite airframe, fly-by-wire flight controls, and an advanced avionics system.
