The Avro Tudor was a British airliner developed and produced by Avro in the late 1940s. It was a four-engined, low-wing monoplane with a pressurized cabin. The Tudor was designed to meet the requirements of British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) for a long-range airliner capable of operating on transatlantic routes.
The Tudor’s cockpit was one of the most advanced of its time. It was equipped with a full suite of modern instruments and controls, including an autopilot and a flight director. The cockpit also featured a large windscreen that provided excellent visibility. The Tudor’s cockpit was designed to be comfortable and ergonomic, with a focus on reducing pilot fatigue.
