The AMX International AMX is an Italian-Brazilian light attack aircraft developed and produced by AMX International, a joint venture between Aeritalia and Embraer. The AMX was designed to meet the requirements of the Italian and Brazilian air forces for a low-cost, high-performance aircraft that could be used for a variety of roles, including close air support, ground attack, and reconnaissance.
The AMX features a tandem-seat cockpit with a bubble canopy that provides excellent visibility for the pilot and co-pilot. The cockpit is equipped with a wide range of avionics, including a head-up display, multi-function displays, and a terrain-following radar. The AMX also has a number of defensive systems, including a chaff and flare dispenser, a radar warning receiver, and a laser warning receiver.
